The Journal of Attention Disorders recently published an article that found associations between ADHD and Celiac Disease, asthma, sleep disorders, migraines, and obesity. The review concluded that “significant associations are found between adult ADHD and several somatic diseases, and these are important to consider when assessing and treating either adult ADHD or the somatic diseases” (Instanes, et al., 2018). Interesting, scholastic article that overviews and systemically consolidates research findings between 1994 and 2015. Clearly highlights how the ADHD mind does not work alone, but rather in concert with the body. Very interesting and informative. Especially for clinicians.
