Shame vs. Compassion

“The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are” (Joseph Campbell).

Embarking on a new journey can perpetuate the great “what if…” ruminating question. Many answers that first consciously surface are answers that come from other people. Possibly the voice of a critical parent, a bully from 1st grade, the voice of trauma, or the influence of society and culture.

SET THE SHAME DOWN.

PICK UP COMPASSION.

What if you are in fact becoming more you? What if the journey is there to be a teacher? What if you thrive? What if everything ends up wonderful? …Simple shifts can lead to monumental change. You deserve compassion. Heck everyone does, in my mind it’s a basic human right.
